Tasting Notes:
Our 2019 Cabernet Franc has a medium ruby color. On the nose it leads with aromas red currant & vanilla bean. Well balanced and smooth tannins build the palate of this approachable Cabernet Franc.
Winemaker’s Notes:
Our 2019 Cabernet Franc is a small lot, blended from the same vineyards (Sage and Owen) that become part of the Grand Rouge. This Cabernet Franc has a touch of the vegetal character (think green bell pepper) that is typical for the variety, however we farm our Cabernet Franc to bring out more of the fruity notes, with toasted oak notes to round out the wine.
Food Pairing Ideas:
Grilled Pork tenderloin, leaner primal beef cuts, rosemary roasted portobello mushrooms
