Tasting Notes:
French for Dark Side, our 2019 Côté Noir is a blend of two of the darkest grapes, Malbec and Petite Sirah. In addition to the intense color, you'll find deep fruit flavors and firm ageable tannins, making this approachable, but ageable as well.
Winemaker’s Notes:
2019 marks the inaugural vintage of our Côté Noir. As the name suggests, our goal with this blend was to create a wine that overflows with dark fruit and deep toasted oak notes. The Petite Sirah lends deep blue fruit and black pepper, while the Malbec offers blackberry and leather notes. The toasting of the oak adds chocolate and coffee notes, bringing depth and complexity to the finished wine.
Food Pairing Ideas:
Roasted lamb, grilled Portobellos, smoked meats.
