2019 Obscura
Appellation: Riverside County
Alcohol: 13.2%

Tasting Notes:
The nose opens with notes of dried strawberry and rose petal top notes, with a core of red fruits, reminiscent of pomegranate and bing cherry, diving into a deep finish of espresso and roasted herbs.
Winemaker’s Notes:
Our first Obscura blend was the result of a happy accident. Hidden in a dark corner of our cellar, this blend was overlooked for a year after it was scheduled for bottling, serendipitously culminating in a wine with substantial oak character, full body and lush, graceful tannins on the finish. Our 2019 Obscura emulates the first vintage with the same extended oak aging, continuing the tradition of this big, yet elegant Bordeaux style blend.
Food Pairing Ideas:
New York or Tenderloin, thick grilled hamburgers with blue cheese, barbeque ribs
