Tasting Notes:
Our 2020 Fourfold is a bold blend, split between four Rhone varietals: Petite Sirah, Syrah, Mourvedre and Grenache, with each grape bringing it's own unique character, while complementing the others, truly making the whole of this blend greater than the sum of its parts.
Winemaker’s Notes:
The typical GSM "Rhone blend" works very nicely, with Syrah adding heft and smoky dark fruit notes, Mourvedre adding black pepper and red fruit notes, and grenache adding light strawberry and floral notes…however, we didn't stop there. Being known for "Big Reds", we found it fitting to round out the blend with Syrah's big brother, Petite Sirah, adding a deeper hue and amped up tannins to bring this wine to another level of body and intensity.
Food Pairing Ideas:
Hearty beef dishes and rich sauces, such as beef wellington with demi glace, Korean short ribs or Osso Buco
