With opening aromas of dried cherry, our 2020 Pinot Noir transports you into an inviting atmosphere, like sitting near a warm fire on a cool Spring day. As you savor the greeting, your palate is charmed with gentle notes of fennel bulb & cola, carried by smooth tannins on the finish.
When batching our 2020 Pinot Noir for bottling, we had a wild idea to blend in a barrel of Chardonnay. Both varieties originate from the Burgundy region of Franch, so we thought we'd try a trail blend. We were surprised by the results. We then blind tasted this trial blend, side by side with the 100% Pinot Noir sample. We found more elegance, fresh red fruit, and hints of earth that Pinot Noir is known for in the sample with Chardonnay! So, we blended in the Chardonnay and bottled the wine. This fun expirement resulted in a beautiful, expressive Pinot Noir that has already reveived a 90 point score from Wine Enthusiast.
