2019 Grenache
Appellation: Temecula Valley
Alcohol: 12.9%
Residual Sugar: 0.2%
Oak: Aged 14 months American and French, 25% new
Composition: 82% La Cresta Grenache, 16% La Cresta Syrah, 2% La Cresta Viognier
Tasting Notes:
Because Temecula tends to have warmer summers, our Grenache shows more ripe fruit notes, paired nicely with a heavier toasted oak profile that brings out some delicious chocolate notes.
Winemaker’s Notes:
Typically our Grenache is blended into our Domestique blend, however, our 2019 vintage was ample and showed beautiful varietal character, so we decided to bottle some as a stand alone Grenache.
Food Pairing Ideas:
Goat cheese, fresh strawberries with balsamic reduction, grilled portobellos
